Judi Lidstone rebounded twice from bouts with breast cancer and has earned her place in the Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame, winning four provincial women’s senior championships and playing on 13 provincial teams along the way.

Born Dec. 17, 1951, she was an active member of Pine Ridge Golf Club from 1977 to 1992, then at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club from 1993 to the present.

She was the top Manitoba senior women’s player four times (2002, 2003, 2006 and 2007) and also won the City and District title twice (1999, 2003). She was runner-up in the Canadian senior women’s championship in 2004 and she was a finalist in voting for Manitoba amateur golfer of the year in 2003. She won the Women’s match play championship in 2003 and was winner of the Golf Manitoba club champions championship in 2003 and 2005.

As a team player, Lidstone represented Manitoba seven times on the amateur team (1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005 and 2006). She was also on the provincial senior teams six times (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010 and has also earned a place on the 2011 team).
